Women in the Woods: Backpacking 101 - Take the road less traveled on your next camping adventure and join Lake Frierson State Park for a women's outdoor session on backpacking basics. Learn how to select the right gear for you, essential supplies, smart packing, and other tips and tricks for your future adventures. This event is free, but registration is required. To register, call the visitor center at 870-932-2615. This program is part of the Women in the Woods series, the first Sunday of every month: Arkansas State Parks are how we connect. You can grow your roots at Lake Frierson State Park.
