LIHEAP Utility Assistance

 
LIHEAP Utility Assistance is open for eligible households in our service area!
Program Dates:
• Regular + Crisis opens: January 5, 2026
• Regular closes: March 31, 2026 (or until funds are depleted)
• Crisis closes: April 30, 2026 (or until funds are depleted)
Services Offered:
• Regular Assistance (help with utility costs)
• Crisis/Emergency Assistance (risk of shut off or already disconnected)
Crisis Emergency? (Shut-off risk or already disconnected), If your county office is closed or you can’t come during posted hours, call (870) 802-7100 for help.

What to bring (as applicable):
• Photo ID
• Social Security documentation (as required)
• Proof of household income for the 4 weeks prior (or Zero Income form if needed)
• Most recent heating/cooling bills
• Lease agreement if utilities are included in rent and/or subsidized housing (as required).
NOTE: Other documents may be required based on your situation.
Income Eligibility: Go to crdcnea.org, Services and Programs, LI-HEAP, and find the Income Eligibility section on our page for the FFY 2026 chart.
Payments: Benefits are generally paid directly to the utility vendor.
Note: LIHEAP benefits are not considered income/resources for other programs.
